Testing
Heidelberg—Stomach Acid Testing
The Heidelberg system is a
micro-electronic diagnostic tool that can
accurately diagnose a patient who may
have hypochlorhydria, hyperchlorhydria,
achlorhydria, pyloric insufficiency, and
heavy mucus. The activity of the
stomach's parietal cells are displayed on
a monitor and recorded in the patient
database.

Cardiac Index—Blood Volume Testing
The cardiac index is the measure of
changes in the aorta's blood volume and
velocity with each heartbeat. The cardiac
index enables clinicians to identify a
patient's risk of cardiovascular health
with a 5-minute, non-invasive test.

Electrocardiograph (EKG or
ECG—Heart Function)
Our physicians rely on a 12 lead
electrocardiograph machine when they
suspect the presence of heart disease.
This machine detects and records the
electronic impulses transmitted by the
heart during and between heartbeats.

Spirometry—Lung Capacity Testing
Spirometry (meaning the measuring of
breath) is a valuable pulmonary function
test, measuring lung function, specifically
the measurement of the amount
(volume) and/or speed (flow) of air that
can be inhaled and exhaled. Spirometry
is an important tool used for generating
graphs from which our physicians can
assess conditions such as asthma,
pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis and
COPD.

Plethysmograph—Circulation Testing
Our physicians obtain circulation
information on arms, legs or other
extremities on a plethysmograph device.
Plethysmography is a non-invasive
method used to detect blood flow
restrictions as well as to track blood flow
improvements following therapies.

Arterial Stiffness Index (ASI)
An Arterial Stiffness Index is a
noninvasive test the physicians use to
measure Peripheral Artery Disease, also
tracking vascular health progress from
therapies.

Radiography—X Ray
Radiography is the use of the property of
X-rays to view inside patients. Our
physicians can quickly obtain skeletal
information through our in-office X-ray
lab.

Bone Densitometer
The physicians utilize the simple,
non-invasive bone densitometer to alert
for bone density loss and to measure
progress of bone health during therapies.

Complete Blood Count (CBC)
Our in-office lab provides immediate
blood information to the physicians,
providing patients with doctor
recommendations during their initial
office visit. Abnormally high or low
counts of white or red blood cells or
platelets may indicate the presence of
many forms of disease.
Jenks Health Team has extensive in-house testing capabilities, far exceeding
typical clinics, to serve you better.
